A Letter To Families
Dear Magill Families,
I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself and welcome you and your child to Magill Elementary School. My name is Dr. Kyria Moore, and I am the Parent Instructional Coordinator at our school. I look forward to meeting each of you so that we can begin to build our partnership in support of your child. At Magill Elementary School, there are many others on our team – teachers, school leaders, and support staff – who are all committed to your child’s academic, social, and emotional success. Together we can make this a wonderful experience of learning and growth for your child through his/her elementary school experience.
The key to your child’s success will be your ongoing involvement in our school community. Throughout the year, you will have opportunities to meet your child’s teachers, attend information sessions, volunteer at various events, and participate in the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA). We encourage you to attend the many events we host to help you better understand the teaching approaches and learning materials that we use to enable our students to succeed.
I am available to provide information, answer questions, and help you access resources. Please feel free to contact me by phone, email, or stop by if you need assistance. I am located in the Family Engagement Center, Monday to Friday from 9:30 A.M. to 2:30 P.M. I can be reached at 770-554-1042 or by email at kyria.moore@gcpsk12.org.
Family Engagement Center Resources:
* Provides workshops and activities for parents
* Recruit volunteers for the school and community
* Provides materials such as event calendars, brochures, newsletters, and educational resources
* Assists with My Payments Plus, the Parent Portal, Parent Square, and Free and Reduced Lunch applications
